Laura Ingalls Wilder day (part 1)

December 03, 2015

We had a lovely time at the Laura Ingalls Wilder day this year. From the eggs toss (fifth picture counting from the bottom up) and the yarn dyeing/spinning, to the Civil War camp and exploring the many old-fashioned houses. The little ones enjoyed the spelling bee at the pioneer schoolhouse. What is unique about this village is that its houses start in the early 1800s (pioneer times) and then end with the grand victorian houses built at the end of the 1800s. I took pictures of a house in about every ten year set.
