The Happy Tag

February 20, 2016

2.20.16

Ava nominated me for The Happy tag a few weeks back and I finally got the chance to give it a go. :) The Happy Tag photo above is from Ava's Happy Tag blog post. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this post, Ava!

Books
I literally live on books. I've been enjoying a whole hoard of good literature lately, but here are some of my favorites to name a few.
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
Cease Firing by Mary Johnston
The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien
The White Company by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Words
Oh my word ;) I am a total logophile! I can't get enough of brilliant words. This list could go on forever ;)

Ubiquitous
Truculent
Inexorably
Insipid
Precocious

Songs
With or Without You by U2
When I'm With You by JJ Heller
Such Great Heights by Iron and Wine
I Am Yours by Lauren Daigle

Movies/TV
I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to the question of my favorite TV show. We don't have any channels and rarely watch movies, but I have to say my two favorites are 'Anne of Green Gables' and 'Little House on the Prairie'

Scents
The smell of a farm
Warm breezes
Oranges
Melting snow

Misc
Classical piano music, old books, riding bikes on a lonely country road, Shakespeare, cuddly kitties, hot chocolate on a snowy day, knitting, red barns in fields, sketching, history, learning new things, blue jeans, wide open spaces, photography, super syrupy waffles, laughing with friends, chirping birdies, writing novels, rundown farmhouses, and the color grey.

I nominate Lauren, Morgan, Lauren, and Autumn if you gals are interested on doing a tag, along with any other bloggers who want to do this tag! :)

Summer/fall sunset study

February 17, 2016

2.17.16

I've wanted to do a post like this for so long! These particular photos are summer/fall 2015 sunsets. You might recognise one or two of the photos from other posts on my blog from a while back. Maybe at some point, I can post photos of the sunset for one full month of 2016 or something. ;)
*I also want to give my mom credit for the first photo. I was not with her at the time she took it, but I felt I had to post the photo because it was just so magnificent.

// october 2015 maternity shoot of my mom //

I want to call this a 'mini' shoot because Baby is so little in these photos! ;) I guess I should have posted these a while ago... sorry, folks. :) My mom looks magnificent now! Baby will be along in April if all goes well!

Also, happy Valentines day! I hope you all have a wonderful day full of love and joy. <3
Are any of you doing anything special? We should be going to a play of Shakespere's 'Henry V' tomorrow which should be super fun.

Maybe I'll get some photos of our recent outings up on here at some point . . . apologies for all the late posts from autumn 2015! I'm totally hopeless. ;)

After lots of begging and pleading, I finally got this adorable cousin of mine to pose a bit. Of course, no photo shoot would be complete without a silly face! ;) Oh dear.

What a fun kid this boy is! He is so brilliantly creative and is a fantastic artist. He's always up for playing tag when he visits with his sisters (H. S. and S. L.) He is an amazing pianist -- we recently made up an Arabian March duet piano song when he last visit which was quite fun.

By the way, the last picture is of a boat he made at the river. We didn't get a chance to see if it floated -- maybe next time. :)

Thanks for the shots, C. K.!
