// the heart that beat wildly //

August 11, 2016

Twas' a heart in a rusty black cage spotted with grime from its long residence in the corner of the girl's room.  The heart kept itself tucked away in that corner in order to avoid other people finding it, misusing it, and reading through the girl's wishes and desires.  The girl had not known it was there until the day she lost it and felt its absence -- the empty place in her soul where she knew it should be.  Unrecognized by her, the heart, deep down, had given her a feeling of comfort and a powerful sense of inner strength.  The moments that should have destroyed her spirit were but small blemishes on her memory because of that heart.
The heart in the black cage.
The cage in the corner of the room.

Haha, they're probably going to almost completely ripped off by then! The little kids just love tearing off small pieces of the wallpaper as they go up the stairs. XD
