Baking Day

February 08, 2017

On February 1st we were invited to go to a friends' house to bake.  What fun!  We decided to make cinnamon rolls which turned out beautifully.  I didn't get a chance to take a picture of them baked and glazed.
We played "would-you-rather" while our rolls were baking, drank tea, and watched their five cats patrol the counter and kitchen table. ;)  It was a really great day and I am looking forward to doing it again sometime in the future.

Do you bake?
How many cats do you have?

  1. Ahehehe...no cats. :) But I'm sure they're fierce and lovable enough. ;)
Goodness gracious, Sophie. 'Do I bake'?! Like, YES! :D I love baking and even more eating what I bake! Lol. That sounds like it was a lot of fun, I hope you get to do it again.

    1. LOL yes, they definitely are. ;)
Unfortunately I'm on the "liking to eat" end of the spectrum xP
      Thanks!

  2. Your photos are awesome, as always! What a sweet-looking cat <3 AND THOSE CINNAMON ROLLS. I'M HUNGRY NOW, THANKS. XD

I do like baking, but I have absolutely no patience for measuring out the ingredients and doing everything in the right order. I mostly just chuck approximate amounts of all the ingredients into the bowl and then lose interest once I've eaten half the dough, lmao.

    1. Thank you!! I know, the cats were all just so sweet! LOL xD

I think we're in the same boat. ;) I most certainly do not ever put the ingredients in the bowl in the right order—and who ever heard of mixing wet and dry separately?! ;)
      Thanks for the comment! <3

  3. Those cinnamon rolls look SO GOOD. I love that last pic of the cat, it looks really cool!

Generally when I bake, it's a pie. I recently tried my first Cinnamon Apple pie AND IT WAS GLORIOUS. I was so happy with how it turned out. XD

(Thanks heaps for stopping over at my blog and leaving a comment!)

Wow so glad it turned out well!! I've never been very talented with actual pies, but I can do pie crusts. :)

No problem! I love your space. :)

Yes, I bake bread every week. But we've been it off flour for like 5 months now, so I haven't been baking very much!

    1. Yes, they were delish!
Yup that's definitely why I like cats too. :D
Sounds like fun! Wow, I don't think I could go off flour for that long. Good going! *high five*

  6. Those look delicious!
I made molasses cookies last week, but generally, I tend to burn everything I attempt to cook.
I have one cat, an odd creature with a crooked tail named Skeleton (don't let a three year old name a cat) who resides in our barn with the goats, and would love more, but unfortunately, my brother is allergic.

    1. Thank you!
Ya know what, Mira, we are twinsies when it comes to burning every darn thing. ;) I cannot even tell you how many times I have left cookies in the oven for an extra hour or two. xD #OOPS
Ahh Skeleton is such a great name for a cat! Aww, that's too bad. Allergies really are a pain.
      Thanks for stopping in!
